Bruce welded his first sculpture at the age of 12 under the tutelage of his father, Frank and his love of sculpture began. He went on to receive his BFA in Sculpture at Northern Illinois University in 1981, and then in 2007 he was honored with the NIU Outstanding College Achievement Alumni Award in the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Bruce’s first notable sculpture came in 1993; “The Eternal Flame War Memorial” is 25’ high and was commissioned by the D.A.V. to honor veterans of all wars and conflicts, located in Worth, Illinois. Since then he has been blessed with 55 public sculptures as well as several sculptures on annual exhibitions at various locations. He also has numerous pieces in corporate and private collections throughout the U.S. and Europe.
His inspiration for creating one of a kind sculptures is a gift from God and Bruce is fortunate to pursue his passion, fulltime for 31 years. He continues to create sculptures that are meant to be positive and uplifting but wants you, the viewer to use your imagination.
His love of sculpture is evident in the way the finished results dance!
