Born in Sioux Falls, SD in 1985, Anna began her training as a painter early in life. At the age of sixteen she began a four-year classical apprenticeship at Pantura Studios with painters Hans-Peter Szameit and Sanna Tomac. Anna credits her traditional academic training in providing her with the fundamentals of seeing, drawing and rendering form from life.

Anna has received many awards for her work including 1st Place in Oil Painting from the Scottsdale Artist School “Best and Brightest” Juried Show (2008), a full advance workshop scholarship from the Scottsdale Artist School (2007 & 2008) and a South Dakota Artist Fellowship Grant (2007-2008).

We are truly honored and pleased Anna has chosen Gardner Colby Gallery as the very first fine art gallery to represent her work. Her finely rendered oil paintings possess the same high quality as that of work done by artists who are two to three times her age, and we look forward to seeing Anna’s work for many years to come.
