Our exciting new internationally known contemporary painter Roque Saldias, was born in Lima, Peru. He studied art and design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and in various ateliers of renowned artists in Lima.
He graduated from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with Outstanding Academic Achievement. He will be participating in the invitational Biennale International in Florence Italy in 2007.

Salidas draws his inspiration from varied subjects. including: the mountainous terrain of Peru, the ancient indigenous textiles of his country, lakes, and old barn like structures. He usually paints in series working with a common theme.

Salidas Has a long experience as an artist and designer. His work may be found in many prestigious private collections, and homes in various countries.
After some years of living in Europe, he now splits his time between his studio in Peru and Florida.

His work in the arts has also included a focus on promoting Latin American artists.
