Young artist Edward Minoff (b. 1972), graduated with honors from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. In addition Mr. Minoff has studied at the Art Students League, NYC, The National Academy School of Design, and at Vassar College.
Originally intending on animation as his career, Minoff co-founded an animation company in New York City, but the lure of the brush proved too strong and he joined the acclaimed Water Street Atelier to further study painting. A trip to Italy followed with further study at The Florence Academy of Art.
Highly educated and trained at his craft, Edward Minoff uses various techniques to produce his acclaimed seascape, landscape, interior, and figurative paintings. Numerous notes and sketches (both pencil and oil) are produced on-site, then taken back to the studio for more oil studies, detailed color and light analysis, and at last the final painting.
Considered one of the top american realists, Edward Minoff was chosen for the “2008 Biennial: Contemporary American Realism”, Fort Wayne Museum of Art. He has been in numerous solo and group shows at prestigious galleries across the county, and has been featured in American Artist (July/August ‘09), American Art Collector (May ‘09, April ‘07), and American Artist Quarterly (Vol 25, No 3, ‘08) among others.
