Cheryl Kessler’s paintings are a reflection of the tropical beauty of Florida that has surrounded her native life there, as well as being inspired by the classical history of Europe and exotic Asia, while living abroad. Infused with elements of interior design, such as antiques and luxurious fabrics, she has created a style of classical, elegant and tropical imagery that delights the eyes of the beholder. The compositions are a collage of elements and motifs inspired by classic traditional paintings executed in a contemporary style and format.

As an interior designer for 20 years, Cheryl’s painting also reflect her love of interior design, reflecting the current trends in design, while alluding to the timeless quality of traditional painting, thus transcending the gap between fine and decorative art.
