Mr. Kerr's approach to oil painting is direct and colorist. Responding to the vibrant colors of nature, inspiration for his work comes from scenic locations in Florida, the Caribbean, New England and his home in North Carolina. While his palette is "high key", he is conversely drawn to the more somber tones of New Orleans nightlife jazz. Exhibiting for over 25 years, Mr. Kerr has had more than 20 one man shows. Collections include Wachovia Bank and Trust, RJR Nabisco, the Glaxo Corporation and Nations Bank.
