Bergs oil paintings convey a sense of mystique. Soft edges, to an extreme sometimes, create undefined areas to let the viewers use their own imaginations. Varied grays, harmonious colors, and glazes or spots of color create a general luminous quality.
Part of the California Tonalist movement, Berg is a professional full time artist who has studied under several California masters such as Robert E. Wood, Joyce Pike and the legendary Millard Sheets. Tricia has exhibited across the country including the First International Biennial of Woman Artists in Stockholm, Sweden. She also has had a solo exhibition at Bakersfield Museum of Art, a group exhibition at the San Bernardino Museum of Art, and a group exhibition at the Tucson Museum of Art.
She has received numerous awards from the prestigious art clubs of New York: Catherine Lorillard, Salmagundi and Knickerbocker Art Club.
Tricias paintings are included in private and public collections, the most recent, the public arts program of Lee County, Florida. Her work was featured recently as the cover story in the highly respected publication
Southwest Art .
Ms. Berg lives and works mainly in Colorado, but has also traveled from Maine to Florida to paint on location. Ms. Bergs work is shown exclusively in Florida at Gardner Colby Gallery in Naples
